Maliphant’s corner (the H. Maliphant shop front) refers to Henry Maliphant, who was a printer and stationer and also a Swansea Town Councillor c1888 and performer at concerts and in public readings.

The date is unclear, but Henry was running the shop at the time of the 1871 Census, and still there in the 1891 Census.
